Founded in 2020 by Sara Assad-Mannings, the bakery began as a lockdown project and has since evolved into a beloved neighbourhood spot. Specialising in handmade sourdough buns, each bun is infused with Palestinian flavours - featuring ingredients like za’atar, sumac, and olive oil sourced directly from Palestine. Standouts include the musakhan bun (stuffed with sumac, pine nuts, and red onion), the indulgent knafeh bun, and the cult-favourite baklava bun. The OG cinnamon bun offers this comforting classic with a Middle Eastern twist. Open Thursday to Sunday, Bunhead Bakery is often sold out before closing, so early visits are recommended.
