The Hideaways at Nashend Farm
Eldersfield, Corse Lawn GL19
In the Gott family since 1979, Nashend Farm is a rural, family-run mixed farm on the border of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. Alongside producing high-welfare, 100% grass-fed meat, the farm is home to three beautifully crafted hideaways – welcoming guests looking for something quieter, greener, and far from the noise of the modern world. What do you produce?
Nashend Farm specialises in producing high-quality beef and lamb with a small Hereford suckler herd and a small flock of sheep and pigs. 100% grass-fed, grazing in open pastures from early spring until late autumn, over winter, the animals are housed and fed on home-grown grass silage – ensuring a natural, forage-based diet all year round. The beef is dry-aged for 35 days for depth of flavour and tenderness, then vacuum-packed and clearly labelled for ease in the freezer. Lamb is typically available in July and August, and beef can be ordered at various points throughout the year. The pigs are also outdoor-reared, with pork typically available twice a year. With a money-back guarantee for anyone left unconvinced (unlikely!), produce is available frozen and sold directly from the farm, ideal for those who value provenance, flavour and animal welfare. If you have a freezer and would like to stock up, all of Nashend Farm's meat is available to buy direct from the farm's freezer all year round, subject to seasonal availability.

The farm offers three rural retreats, which are not your average glamping spots. Each one is a handcrafted space with warmth, style and a touch of Scandinavian influence. Buzzard: A striking Estonian Iglu hut clad in dark timber, sits in a prime spot overlooking the marshes towards the Malvern Hills. With its own private sauna, sheltered outdoor dining area and a fire pit, it’s the ideal spot to reset. Inside, you’ll find a soft, curved aspen wood interior, a fixed double bed, shower room, flushing toilet and a small but well-equipped kitchenette – perfect for hunkering down in bad weather or savouring long, slow mornings. Hornbeam: A traditional shepherd’s hut tucked into woodland about 50 metres from the farmhouse. It’s charmingly English, with central heating, a proper kitchen, full-size bed, hot shower and all the bits you need for a self-catered stay. Ideal for couples, a small child can also be accommodated (by arrangement). Hare: Another beautiful Iglu, is placed at the very centre of the farm with views over its own paddock and nearby sow pens. You’ll hear the honest sounds of farm life – from cattle feeding to owls calling at night – but the space inside is all calm and comfort. With a kitchenette, shower, flushing loo and a snug sleeping space, it’s perfect for couples looking for real countryside without compromising on comfort. All three hideaways offer a true sense of seclusion, while still being within easy reach of the Malvern Hills, the Forest of Dean, and some of the West’s most picturesque towns and villages.
How many people can you accommodate?
Each of the three hideaways is designed with couples in mind – comfortable for two adults with proper beds, private bathrooms and all the essentials for a self-contained stay. Buzzard sleeps two adults and offers generous indoor and outdoor space, including a private sauna and covered dining area. Hornbeam also sleeps two, but with the option of bringing a small child (by prior arrangement). Hare is ideal for two adults and has successfully hosted couples with young children (please enquire before booking). The three hideaways can also be booked together for small groups of friends or extended family looking to share a countryside retreat – each with their own space and privacy.
