I am an artisan weaver based in the Yorkshire Dales, producing blankets, scarves & socks from locally sourced wool. Since 2008 I have been sourcing the wool for my products from local farms, buying the fleece direct from the farm gate and having it washed, spun, dyed, woven and finished at textile mills within 100 miles of my home. I weave many products myself on my handlooms, and produce all the sample pieces by hand before sending some designs off to be woven in micro batches at a small weaving mill in the Scottish borders. My aim is to showcase some of the many fantastic British wools that we have in this country and to support my local farmers by paying them a fair price for all the hard work they put into producing the wool. All of my products can be found online via my website and at Sedbergh Weavers, a lovely little shop in the friendly Dales market town of Sedbergh which supports a small group of local textile artists.
