Hot Milk Forge is a blacksmithing and bladesmithing experience based in the Glens of Antrim, Northern Ireland. Opened in 2015, it offers hands-on evening, day and weekend classes in traditional metalworking techniques with an artistic focus. Participants aged 16+ learn blacksmithing and forging skills using fire rather than electric tools, creating items such as fireplace tools, decorative ironwork, knives and sculptures under expert guidance.

Days, dates and times
The full range of dates and times for classes can be seen on their website including: Bladesmithing and Blacksmithing Weekend Courses at multiple dates. Day Classes on selected Saturdays and Sundays (dates posted on site). Evening Classes typically start at 7pm and finish around 9pm. Private classes can be arranged on weekdays by contacting the forge.

Hot Milk Forge offers immersive metalworking workshops for beginners and more experienced makers alike: Blacksmithing Classes: Learn core techniques such as scrolling, drawing, twisting and riveting by forging practical and decorative items. Bladesmithing Classes: Forge your own blades, learning heat-treating, shaping and handle fitting across day or weekend courses. Evening Classes: Shorter sessions for beginners or those building skills. Private/Group Bookings: Tailored sessions for individuals or groups by arrangement. Classes emphasise traditional forging with fire, creativity and craftsmanship, all within a supportive environment for learners aged 16+.
How to book / attend
Bookings are made via the Hot Milk Forge website’s “Book a Course” section, where you can select dates for day, weekend and evening classes. Alternatively, contact Hot Milk Forge directly for private sessions or to join waiting lists for full courses. Gift vouchers are also available for purchase and can be redeemed against any class on the site. All participants must be over the age of 16
