We have been farming at Maesllyn since 2013. We raise grass-fed beef, pork and lamb on 120 acres above Cardigan Bay, near Blaenannerch in Ceredigion and sell what we raise direct to the public. Between us we started with thirty years of farming and none at all. Craig grew up in it; Gillian learned from that first season and now rears the calves. We have taken on more land over the years, paid for all of it ourselves and claimed no subsidies, which is rarer than it ought to be. Nothing here is rushed. The cattle are grass-fed and the pigs and lambs reared at home. When the time comes, our abattoir and butcher are both within forty-five minutes of the gate. The meat comes back to us fully traceable, with no antibiotics, no growth hormones and no water added to bulk it out. The farm is on the Farm Assured Welsh Livestock scheme. We sell beef, pork, lamb and free-range chicken as boxes or single cuts, packed in wool you can put on the compost heap when you are done. Local delivery is free across the Cardigan postcodes and a courier covers deliveries to most of the rest of Britain. Can people visit or buy direct?

You can order from us online for delivery to your home. There is free local delivery across the Cardigan postcodes (SA37, SA38, SA41, SA42, SA43 and SA44), or we deliver by courier to most of the UK from £6.75, with a minimum order of £35 and free delivery over £150. The farm is not a shop, so everything is sold online rather than at the gate so it's not possible to visit the farm unfortunately.
