We’ve been sharing our shepherd hut stay spaces on the Blackdown Hills in Somerset since 2015. We’re here for you to escape the busy and reconnect with nature, as a solo traveller, as a couple or take the whole site over for your stay.

What do you produce?

We produce our own beef, pork and eggs. You have a hob in your shepherd hut and can also cook over wood in the woodfired oven or on the firepit.

Tell us about your rental accomodation

We have three shepherd huts, each set in its own private field and styled with vintage and artisan-produced pieces. Our aim is that you can arrive and just enjoy the space so we provide all the things you need - we get many comments from guests about our attention to detail. Hither is a single shepherd hut in its own field overlooking our orchard and has a double wall bed, bench and tables and a day bed, perfect for reading your book on. Alongside you have the Hothouse, your private wood-fired hot tub in a barn with a side open to the stars. Yonder is a two shepherd huts joined together nestled in its own woodland copse with views out over the Blackdowns. There’s a copper bath at the foot of the bed and a woodfired hottub under the stars. Dapple is two shepherd huts joined together and has a gas fired pizza oven, a copper bath and shower on the deck and your own private sauna. All our huts have en-suite facilities and are cool in summer and toasty warm in the winter. We are 25 minutes drive from Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast. We’re foodies, so provide local food if you pre-order a picnic. If you choose to eat out we have the Candlelight Inn just a mile away and the Cotley Inn ten minutes drive away, both award-winning pubs and lots of other lovely places to recommend to you.

How many people can you accommodate?

Each hut sleeps up to 2 people. Dapple actually has two double beds in it, so is also perfect for two friends together - or if you’re travelling with a snory partner!
