Mortons Family Farm near Skeyton in north Norfolk rears free-range Norfolk Bronze turkeys and cockerels for Christmas. Rob Morton and his three brothers are the fourth generation of the family to farm, and their turkeys are around six months old by the time they reach the table. The Norfolk Bronze is a slow-growing bird, and the Mortons let it take its time. You can't make up those months with a better roasting tin. The family have sold direct through their own website for years. Orders go out fresh to anywhere in mainland UK, packed in wool insulation with ice packs, or you can collect from the farm on set days before Christmas. Delivery dates and collection days for the year are on their website. Alongside whole turkeys there are cockerels for a smaller table and rolled Bronze turkey breast joints.
