The Aylsham Show, Blickling, Norfolk
Blickling Park, Blickling Estate, Norwich, NR11 6NF
I've put the Aylsham Show in this guide because farming is still the reason it exists. It's a one-day agricultural show at Blickling, near Aylsham in north Norfolk, held on August Bank Holiday Monday. It began in 1946, and 2026 was the 78th. The show is a registered charity, set up to improve the breeding and rearing of livestock. And you can tell. There are showing classes for cattle and sheep, and a Learn from the Land area for anyone who wants to understand what they're looking at. Around all that sit the food market, the Market Lane stands and the trade stands. Volunteers run it, and the surplus goes to good causes, mostly local ones. Accompanied children aged 16 and under get in free, parking is free and dogs are welcome. Go for the cattle and stay for lunch.

What days / dates are your markets / events held?
Once a year, for one day, on August Bank Holiday Monday. The show is held in the parkland at Blickling Estate, just outside Aylsham, with free parking on site. Tickets can be bought online in advance, and accompanied children aged 16 and under go free. The 2027 date and programme haven't been published yet, so check the show's website before you plan a visit.
What local producer stalls can people discover?
The show runs a food market alongside its Market Lane stands and trade stands, with livestock and farming at the centre of the day. The 2027 stallholder list hasn't been published yet. I'll add the Norfolk producers taking stands once it is.
