Burn Valley Vineyard, North Creake, Norfolk

North Creake, Fakenham, Norfolk, NR21 9LN

Two sisters run Burn Valley Vineyard at North Creake, in north Norfolk, and their brother farms the land around it. Laura and Sam, from the Robinson family, planted the vines on the farm in 2016 and have made their own wine in a winery on the farm since 2019. They grow nine varieties. Pinot Noir, Pinot Précoce, Rondo and Regent are the reds; Bacchus, Chardonnay, Solaris, Seyval Blanc and Schönburger are the whites. From those come a red, a white, a rosé and a sparkling wine, and the Marsh Rosé, made from Pinot Noir, was named Wine of the Year with a Gold medal at the WineGB East awards in 2025. You can taste the range at the winery. Booked tastings run from Thursday to Saturday from April, and they're a proper sit-down introduction to how a young Norfolk vineyard goes about things. If you can't get to the winery, they're at Creake Abbey on the first Saturday of the month, just down the road.
