Noah's Veg Patch

Route De Carteret, Castel, Guernsey What3words - carsick.sensual.unwed

Noah Nichols, aged 12, is a young grower based in Guernsey, producing fresh, seasonal vegetables from his expanding veg patch and selling them through his honesty-based roadside stall and the Local Farm Shop both a simple, trust-based way of connecting people with truly local food. His produce is grown naturally, without chemicals, just as nature intended. What started as a small idea to earn some pocket money quickly grew into something much bigger. After running out of space at home, Noah was kindly offered an unused vegetable patch just down the road, where he began growing after school. With continued support from the local community, he has since expanded into a large greenhouse, allowing him to grow a wider range of over 40 different produce varieties throughout the seasons. But Noah’s Veg Patch is about more than just growing food. Noah is also passionate about inspiring other young people to get involved in growing, with the use of his social media channels, and attending local events, and markets, Noah connects with the community to put on potting sessions. With plans to introduce veg boxes and a clear focus on encouraging more children to start growing, Noah continues to build something special fresh, local produce grown with care, naturally and sustainably, and an enterprise rooted in community. Noah's dream and ambitions is to one day become a fully fledged sustainable farmer.
