Past a picturesque pond, down paths mown through waist-high wild flowers is Spot House Farm - one of those places you want to share with everyone and no one. Four canvas bell tents are located in ancient woodland meadows just a short walk from the farmhouse - completely off grid, completely immersed in nature. The 16th-century farmhouse is the cornerstone of the farm where pedigree Oxford Sandy and Black pigs are reared in the woodland. Nightingales sing you to sleep and deer browse the meadows in the early morning light. A bag of freshly roasted coffee from resident coffee roasters COLDBLOW and half a dozen fresh farm eggs await you when you arrive. What do you produce?
At Spot House their Oxford Sandy and Black pigs are reared for pork, bacon and sausages. The farmyard hens produce the eggs that are provided for glamping guests.
Tell us about your rental accomodation
Four bell tents set in ancient woodland meadows, fully off grid. One 7m bell tent sleeping four: one super-king and two single beds. Two 5m bell tents each sleeping two: one king-size bed in each. One 4m bell tent with two single beds, suitable for adults or older children. Extra camp beds available for an additional charge in the 7m and 5m tents. One travel cot available. All beds are made up with fine cotton linens and woollen blankets. A well-equipped camp kitchen includes a gas stove, large cool box, enamelware crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils. There is a brick fire pit with tripod BBQ for alfresco suppers. And a long-drop loo and an outdoor heated shower, both fully off grid.
