Coastal foraging meets craft and curiosity. The Drum Seaweed is a creative studio inspired by the rich shapes, colours and stories hidden in wild seaweed gathered at low tide along the west coast of Ireland. Founded in 2021 by Flora Kinnaird, each frond, ribbon and branch is carefully foraged, traditionally pressed and preserved, turning tidal movement into tactile artwork and evocative objects. It’s a celebration of place, season and the beauty found at the water’s edge. Wild, intricate and entirely shaped by nature.

What do you produce?

Hand-foraged and pressed seaweed artworks, limited-edition prints & postcards, accessories and objects inspired by seaweed forms. Each piece captures the fluid intricacy of species gathered from the shore, brought to life through careful preparation, traditional pressing and framing
