Six cosy cottages nestle in grass paddocks on the farm, heated by an eco-friendly wood-chip biomass boiler using wood grown locally, each with a wood-burning stove for the full country cottage effect. They sit in a private valley on a 500-acre working hill farm, surrounded by the kind of silence that takes a day or two to properly settle into. Westermill makes an ideal base for exploring the open moorland, wooded valleys and spectacular coastal scenery — or just for relaxing and escaping the everyday. Visitors can walk directly from their door onto the farm and beyond. There is no need to drive your car at all - Westermill does not border any road and four circular walks beside the River Exe lead straight off the doorstep. The cottages have a distinctive Scandinavian character — simple, well-made, warm. Dogs and horses are welcome, with grazing available. There is a laundry, large drying room, and a seasonal shop on site. westermill The shop sells bread, milk, eggs and bacon sourced locally, as well as the farm's own award-winning Aberdeen Angus beef, lamb and pork, so you can collect your dinner on the way back from a walk! What do you produce?
Award-winning free-range Aberdeen Angus beef, lamb and pork - available from the on-site seasonal shop alongside locally sourced eggs, bread and bacon.

Six Scandinavian-style cottages set in grass paddocks, all heated by biomass boiler and each with a wood-burning stove. TV, DVD player and free wifi in each cottage. A laundry and large drying room are available on site. Cottage names: New Holly, Wurt, Ling, Gorse, Bracken and Molinia. For the time being the farm asks their clients to provide bottom sheet, pillow case, duvet cover, bath and tea towels. There is a laundry, large drying room, payphone and seasonal shop on site. Four waymarked walks also traverse the farm.
How many people can you accommodate?
The cottages sleep between 4 and 8 people across two, three and four bedroom options. Gorse sleeps 7–8; Bracken sleeps 8; Molinia sleeps 7; New Holly sleeps 4–5; Wurt and Ling sleep 4.
