Spouse Studio: Capturing the Story of Local Produce
19 September 2025 • Written By Kate Todd
Great produce tells a story — and sometimes the best way to share that story is through exceptional photography.
This week I swapped a few messages on Instagram with Gemma from Spouse Studio and today we spoke properly. One of the (few!) things I love about social media is how it can spark a connection like this which would otherwise never happen.
Based in Glasgow, Gemma and her husband Stephen, run Spouse Studio and are experts in photographic storytelling. They work closely with local growers, farmers and makers to capture the people, places and stories behind what’s produced. From the quiet beauty of a flower farm at dawn, to the vibrant colour of a field to fork supper club, their images reveal the craft, care and connection at the heart of local food and produce.
If you’re a grower, maker or farm business looking to show your work in its best light, commissioning the right photography can make all the difference.
Spouse Studio bring a rare mix of artistry and understanding of the world of local growing — exactly what you need when your produce is rooted in place.
Take a look at their work below and at spousestudio.com and get in touch with Gemma and Stephen to find out more.
